Xinjiang Natural Environment and Ethnic Culture Study Tour
From 28 June to 4 July 2026, ten of our F4 and F5 Geography students, along with Miss Tang Tsz Ching, the head teacher of the Geography panel, took part in an enriching study tour organized by the Education Bureau as part of the “Passing on the Torch” Platform Programme Series: An Exploration into the Natural Environment and Ethnic Culture in Xinjiang.
This educational excursion provided our students with invaluable opportunities to visit the region’s most renowned geological and geographical landmarks. The itinerary included breathtaking destinations such as the Heavenly Lake of Tianshan (天山天池), the vibrant Multicoloured Beach (五彩灘), Kanas Lake (喀納斯湖), the rustic Hemu Village (禾木村), the Kumtag Desert (庫木塔格沙漠), and the iconic Flame Mountain in Turpan (吐魯番火焰山).
Beyond marveling at these spectacular natural wonders, our students immersed themselves in the region’s rich heritage through various hands-on cultural experiences, including traditional folk dancing and local craft-making. Through this highly immersive study tour, our students gained a profound understanding of the crucial importance of preserving both ecological and cultural security within our nation.
