TWGHs Joint- Secondary Schools English Language Enhancement Study Tour
From 29 June to 5 July 2025, all the 18 TWGHs secondary schools jointly organized an English Language enhancement study tour. Five students from our school were nominated to join the study tour to Singapore for seven days with full sponsorship from Tung Wah Groups of Hospital.
Throughout the study tour, all participants attended a daily English course in Singapore Management University (SMU) to improve their public speaking skills. They were also given opportunities to interact with the locals and their peers with the target language every day. The authentic English-speaking environment had exposed them to the purposeful use of English. They were also immersed in the Singaporean culture by visiting different various spots such as National University of Singapore, China Town, Garden By the Bay and Universal Studios.
It was a precious and rewarding experience for all teachers and students. The finale night allowed all students to showcase their presentation skills and talents by giving a speech and performing individually or in groups. Everyone was captivated by the shows and surrounded by laughers and rounds of applause.
