Form 5 Biology Field Trip 2026
On 13 May 2026, our Form 5 Biology students participated in an engaging rocky shore field trip organized by the Caritas Chan Chun Ha Field Studies Centre. This experiential learning activity allowed students to apply their classroom ecological knowledge directly to a coastal environment at the Nam Tam Wan field site.
During the outdoor survey, students recorded various biotic and abiotic factors, later returning to the laboratory to process data and analyze the distinct zonation patterns of the shore community. They concluded the day with a dissection session to investigate the specific structural adaptations of marine organisms.
Students expressed that this hands-on experience greatly enriched their understanding of organism-environment interactions. Beyond sharpening their practical field study and data analysis skills, the trip fostered a deep appreciation for biodiversity and the diverse ways life forms adapt to their habitats.
