The “TWGHs Scholarship Presentation Ceremony” was held on 23 March 2019 at our school, presenting the “TWGHs 148th Anniversary Scholarship” and 6 other TWGHs scholarships to 30 students who were admitted to tertiary institutions with outstanding performance in the 2018 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, so as to encourage them to keep up with their good work.
This year, 45 secondary students across the territory were shortlisted for the “TWGHs 148th Anniversary Scholarship”, and 16 students were chosen to receive the Scholarship. The Group also offers 6 other scholarships, namely, “The Association of Chairmen of the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Scholarships”, “TWGHs Li Shui Chung Memorial Scholarship”, “TWGHs Wong’s Kong King Int’l (Holdings) Ltd. Scholarship”, “TWGHs Dr. John Lee Sam Yuen Scholarship”, “TWGHs Dr. Ina Chan Un Chan Scholarship” and the newly established “TWGHs Sweet Rains Scholarship”, in order to help graduates of TWGHs secondary schools by subsidising tuition fees and other expenses of the awardees for their undergraduate studies. The newly established “TWGHs Sweet Rains Scholarship”, in particular, aims to encourage outstanding students to pursue a bachelor’s degree in textile or clothing.
