Our school’s Athletic Team took part in the final of the Division One Inter-school Athletics Competition, which was the fiercest competition among the best young local athletes, on 8th March, 2019 at Wan Chai Sports Ground. Sitting in the bleachers, our cheering team cheered for the athletes at deafening volume, waving their cheering sticks. Our team has achieved satisfactory results. F.3 student Cosette Leung won gold in the C-grade girls’ hurdle final. Moreover, F.5 student Kwong Ka Yu got the 1st runner-up in A-Grade girls’ hurdle final and 2nd runner-up in A-Grade girls’ Long Jump. For boys, F.4 student Chan Wai Ho Hugo got the 2nd runner-up in B-Grade boys’ 100m hurdle and triple jump. Also, F.2 student Wong Kin Man got the 3rd runner-up in C-grade boys’ 400m. Our team has also won a bronze medal in C-grade girls’ 4 x 100m relay.
Impressively, our school is the only subsidized school in Hong Kong with both the boys and girls’ teams made it to the Division One. Over the past few months, our team has been working hard in the hopes of bringing the best of our athletes and develop their sportsmanship and team spirit.
